Admiral Ackbar is a Mon Calamari, and perhaps the finest military commander in the service of the Rebel Alliance and the New Republic. Admiral Ackbar held the distinction of having been the Supreme Commander of the New Republic Defense Force for nearly two decades and defeating two Imperial Grand Admirals, Osvald Teshik and Peccati Syn.
